[seen at the movies] Alice in Wonderland. Random chick

Thursday in Viewed 3D, I could not wait any longer, and I must say I'm rather mixed ..

Burton spent the next half-light.

For me, Tim Burton remains a director I was most amazed (and scared) in my childhood, with Beetlejuice, Batman even Batmale the Challenge especially Edward Scissorhands . The films that followed, and I rediscovered that long after their theatrical release, either on TV or otherwise, have reinforced this idea of a universe nostalgic, poetic and depressive limit spleenien , but still surrounded by a false will trivial and festive despite the often dramatic protagonists. Because it is a deliberate choice by the filmmaker than to change the codes to play with the feelings of pre-established and reinterpret them in an atmosphere shifted. This can both challenge, shock or amuse. But it is in this gap between what we think of as very bad, he likes to make them less discernible from each other, and we place the point of view still unusual the darkest side.

projects initially, that could be called original for less, and gradually become commercial (Alice is the biggest box office success of Burton). However we can say that Burton is the tab for that Alice, who on paper would have really been integrated into the filmography, but ultimately stands out and leaves a slightly bitter taste ...

This film, first received a great marketing propaganda that strikes us for months and months of leaked images and more or less stoking our desire (which has not failed seen to operate the numbers of entries). But he who stirs great curiosity is obviously expected to turn and lift the emotional can be dizzying. I reviewed and revised the Disney cartoon was perceived as one of the best film adaptations of novels by Lewis Carroll , and although the frame of the beginning of the film follows as a kind of ritual of entry in Wonderland, this is not the case in the suite.

history. (Warning spoilers)

is the biggest problem for me.
Yes it's a Burton film but Alice is a work much wider audience, increased more or less in cultural folklore, and everyone will necessarily refer to the Disney cartoon . I know that Burton to specifically state that it did not exactly match the cartoon but turn his "own Alice . And this is where you subscribe to or not. Because it is a bet rather daring.

Here synopsis:
Alice, now aged 19, returns to the fantasy world she discovered when she was a child. She found her friends the White Rabbit, Tweedledum and Tweedledee, the Dormouse, the Caterpillar, the Cheshire Cat and, of course, the Mad Hatter. Alice embarks on a journey where she will perform her special destiny: to end the reign of terror of the Red Queen.

I was rather curious to know how Alice had changed after his first experience and how it could affect it. Well everything is in denial 3min early on when, still a child, her father convinces her that it was a dream she saw, moreover, often at night. And that's it!
I will not make a detailed summary, but there are some issues that bothers me and which have been resolved far too easily. The atmosphere upside of Wonderland without any logic or rather with a logic illogical, is not found. Despite a rocking horse driving, talking flowers, lush vegetation and prolific This is what history has been lost, just the fact that there is a story so logical and easy (too much for the spirit of mathematicians' a Lewis Carroll) to follow that puzzled me most. We spend a wonderland, zany, carefree, in a country governed by codes, a fratricidal war that has turned the inhabitants into a kind of resistance in league against the tyranny of the Red Queen (the metaphor that is more visible). But was it the spirit of the work? I doubt it.

Characters

We know the connection between Tim Burton and one called his favorite actor, Johnny Depp , who donned the costumes of the most diverse in its direction . This time, inevitably, the Mad Hatter , among many other character becomes important, perhaps too much, and I felt that writing was forced to give of course, more consistency with the character played by the actor.
Performance is not bad even if one could know him better, but I thought his game was akin to the great Barber of Fleet Street, especially when he takes his cold and begins to rave ... Then his manner of speaking also bothered me. (Just in class 2 for dentists).

Other performers did not bother me more than that, any Alice, who is sometimes good and sometimes tunes with dark circles under the eyes dear to Burton, sometimes playful tunes with a light complexion, a little more Helena Bonham Carter, excellent in his role of Red Queen with a big head capricious demonic limit. Nothing more.

3D

Nothing to say really, it's not their fault, 3D is used throughout the film, but the contribution is not really a plus, with or without, the experience was not significantly different (on the price certainly) not a great feat, but not a disappointment, pub Haribo was still more attractive .. The sets are added on a green background and the body of abnormally elongated Stayner not really well done, the actor was dressed in green and mounted on stilts ... The teaser posters

Verdict:
Most Least
special effects really made
Helena Bonham Carter really funny in the role the nasty red queen.
a good time anyway, more mainstream than his previous film.

history really easy and not linear in the spirit of Alice 3D
not sufficiently exploited to the price paid is a bit unfortunate
characters cons to use it can disrupt
song Avril Lavigne horrible end ...
Abstract: Verdict:
bit disappointed but I had been warned, so I was expecting not necessarily the best Burton film even if all its teaser me well given qd even envy. To see but not necessarily in 3D.
6 / 10
