Amina prepares for the caravan dates. Each year, with other women Toubou, it makes this journey of 1500 miles across the Sahara in spite of the dangers of heat (50 ° C) and sandstorms.

For it is for these nomadic women the key to their economic independence: with income from the sale of dates, a family can live for a year. But Amina, rebellious young woman of 26 years, has had enough of this long journey. En route, she finds an accomplice in Mariama. Far from men, the two girls share their dreams for a modern and independent life. Once arrived at their destination, they try to put their plans execution.
